VPNUV FAQs

Troubleshoot account, app, and route issues step by step. Expand a question for instructions, and check order-specific details through a dashboard ticket.

Account & Subscriptions

Check your account status and current setup first, then troubleshoot subscription updates or moving to another device. Installing a client, importing a subscription, and enabling the configuration are separate steps.

What do I need to create an account, and what if I forget my password?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password, then save them in a trusted password manager rather than relying only on browser autofill. If you can’t log in, check the username spelling, input method, and password for accidental spaces, then make sure you’re on the VPNUV user dashboard. If you forget your password, follow the recovery options and help prompts available on the dashboard at that time; this page does not promise account recovery by email. If you still need help, use an available support option in the dashboard. Never post your password or sensitive details from account screenshots publicly.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it in my client?

Sign in to the user dashboard and find your subscription details in the account overview. Use the import option provided there to add the subscription to your client. To update an existing setup, open the client’s subscription or configuration manager and update the subscription currently in use; simply selecting a different route won’t update it. After the update, make sure the refreshed configuration is enabled, then select an exit route and connect. If retrieval fails, check your account status and network, then verify whether your subscription details have changed in the dashboard. Treat the subscription link like an account credential: don’t post it publicly or share it with untrusted checking sites.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change devices? Which operating systems are supported?

There’s no device limit, and changing devices alone doesn’t require a new plan. VPNUV supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On the new device, get the relevant client from the user dashboard, then sign in to retrieve and import your subscription. Installing the client and obtaining the subscription are separate steps; installation alone doesn’t mean the setup is ready. When using multiple devices, keep an eye on your remaining data, as background downloads and system updates can use it. Before handing a device to someone else, sign out and remove locally saved subscription details. If you think your subscription has been exposed, use the options available in the dashboard.

Why don’t I see any routes after installing the client?

After installing the client, import the subscription configuration linked to your account. Routes will then appear in the configuration list. First, sign in to the user dashboard and check your plan status and remaining data, then use the subscription import method provided there. Back in the client, make sure the configuration is enabled, not just saved in the list. If the list is still empty, check the error shown in the subscription update result and make sure you haven’t used a regular webpage URL as the subscription URL. Get the client through the dashboard; iOS availability is subject to the dashboard’s requirements. If you need further help, keep the error message but don’t share your full subscription link publicly.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Separate underlying network issues from client settings and app behavior. Change one thing at a time so you can reproduce the results.

What should I check first when I can’t connect?

Disconnect the proxy first and check that your current network can reach websites that normally work. If the underlying connection is down, fix the local network first. Then check your account status and remaining data in the dashboard, update the subscription in your client, and test another exit route. If none of the routes connect, check that the client has the system permissions it needs and that no other proxy tool is running. Change one setting at a time and note what happens before and after, so you can identify the cause. When submitting a support ticket, include your operating system, the client’s error message, the selected route, and what you’ve already checked. Don’t include your password or subscription credentials.

Why can’t a particular app use the proxy when websites work in my browser?

If a browser works but an app doesn’t, check whether the app’s traffic is reaching the client before assuming the route is unavailable. Some apps don’t follow the system proxy, while routing rules may send certain requests directly. Check the client’s connection logs to see whether requests appear when you open the app. Then review which rules matched and whether the app has its own proxy settings. If the client offers global or tunnel mode, you can temporarily switch modes as described in its documentation to isolate the issue, then restore your usual settings. On work devices or managed apps, follow your organization’s network policies and don’t change management settings without authorization.

What if webpages load after connecting, but images, sign-in, or video don’t?

First identify whether the whole site is failing or only specific requests, such as images, sign-in, or video. A service may use different domains, and inconsistent routing rules can mean that the main page loads while some resources take another route. Check the client logs to see whether failed requests went direct, were blocked, or were assigned to different policy groups, then update the configuration as instructed by the client. If you recently changed regions, close and reopen the relevant pages so the new session uses the current exit route. Check the app’s cache and region settings if needed. Don’t repeatedly change account details or payment region while troubleshooting; investigate the network path and platform account separately.

How do I restore my local network if it stops working after I disconnect?

In the client, disconnect or turn off the system proxy before quitting, so proxy settings aren’t left behind when the process ends. If the network still isn’t working, check the system proxy settings for any entries pointing to the local client and confirm that tunnel mode is off. On managed devices, keep any configuration required by your organization. Reconnect to your network and test both regular websites and apps that need the proxy. If only one browser is affected, check its extensions and separate proxy settings. Don’t delete system certificates or reset the entire network setup without good reason. Save your current settings and check each item in a way you can undo.

Speed & Routes

Choose an exit route based on the service you need and how it performs in practice. Assess route type, region, and platform eligibility separately.

How can I fix video buffering or slow downloads during peak hours?

Pause background downloads, cloud sync, and system updates first, then check whether they’re competing for local bandwidth and retest the same app. If regular websites are also slow, check your current internet connection. If only a particular international service is affected, compare a different exit region or route type under the same conditions. Performance on IEPL, relay, and direct routes depends on the full network path, so the name alone won’t tell you which is best. Keep video quality, device, and network conditions as consistent as possible during testing to avoid misleading results. If the issue persists, submit a ticket with the time it occurred, the exit route, and the affected app so support can investigate.

How do I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?

Choose based on what you need, then compare route types. For video calls, long-running sessions, and streaming, look for stability over time. For general browsing, focus on page response and whether all resources load. IEPL, relay, and direct describe different network paths; results can vary by region, network, and app. Start with a region supported by the service you want to use, keep other conditions the same, and try the routes available in your dashboard one at a time. Once you find a route that works for everyday use, keep a backup option and avoid switching frequently. Available regions and routes depend on your current subscription. This page does not guarantee the performance of individual routes.

How extensive is the coverage? Are nearby regions always faster?

120+ countries / 240+ routes. Geographic distance is only one factor when choosing an exit route. Your local network, the path between networks, the destination website’s region, and app policies can all affect performance. A nearby region may not offer the best path for a particular service, while a more distant one doesn’t necessarily make everything noticeably slower. Check which regions the service supports, then test the tasks that matter to you, such as page loading, session stability, or video playback. The routes page can help you explore regions; rely on the routes available in your subscription and your actual experience after connecting. Coverage figures don’t guarantee access to any specific platform.

Can changing regions alone fix access to AI tools and streaming services?

Changing regions only affects network exit conditions. It doesn’t replace a platform’s account eligibility, subscription access, or regional policies. AI tools may also check account status and service availability, while streaming services may determine what you can watch based on content rights, account region, and how they identify your exit route. First confirm that your platform account has access, then keep the exit route consistent, start a fresh app session, and check the result. Don’t repeatedly change your payment region or account details just to test. Being able to open a homepage doesn’t guarantee access to every feature or title; verify the specific features you need and follow the platform’s terms of service.

Billing & Refunds

Check the billing method and order details first, then handle any changes or refund requests. Use the dashboard for your account status and case updates.

How much do monthly plans and data packages cost, and which should I choose?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. Packages remain valid until used and never expire. If you use the service regularly and need ongoing access, compare monthly plans against your actual data usage. If your usage varies and you want to use data as needed, consider a data package. App names alone won’t tell you how much data you’ll use; video quality, downloads, and background sync all affect consumption. Before choosing, review the plans page and dashboard details to make sure the billing and data rules fit your needs, then select a plan in the dashboard.

When does monthly plan data reset, and how is an upgrade calculated?

Data resets monthly on the activation date. When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check the account details in your user dashboard for the reset date rather than assuming it falls on the first of the calendar month. Before upgrading, review your current plan, remaining term, and the change details shown in the dashboard. An upgrade doesn’t necessarily add a separate monthly data allowance. Data packages work differently from monthly plans: they remain valid until used and never expire. For questions about your account’s billing or displayed balance, keep your order details and contact support through a ticket. This page doesn’t calculate prorated amounts or make promises about balance handling not specified in the plan details.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my status doesn’t update after paying?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Create an order in the user dashboard and follow the payment details shown on the order page. If your status doesn’t update after paying, check the order in your order list before taking any further action. Don’t pay again right away, and make sure the payment result corresponds to the same order. If the payment provider shows that payment is complete but the dashboard hasn’t updated, submit a ticket with the order details, payment status, and a description of the issue. If you attach a payment screenshot, hide personal information that isn’t needed to verify it. Don’t pay to collection details from unverified sources outside this site, and never share your account password, full subscription link, or payment account login credentials.

What does the refund policy cover, and how do I request a refund?

60-day, no-questions-asked refunds. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket, and provide your order details so the account and payment can be verified. The refund policy page lists the applicable terms; please review it before submitting your request. If you’re also having connection issues, include the error message and troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried, but never include your full subscription link or password. Refund progress is shown in ticket replies and order status. This page doesn’t promise a processing time or the speed of payment provider handling. If you can’t log in, follow the account help prompts in the dashboard rather than creating another paid order to check progress.
